Privacy Policy

Last updated July 17, 2026

This policy explains what Lurkers collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. We try to collect as little as we need to run the site.

Information we collect

  • Account info: your email and username, and, if you sign in with a connected account (Twitch, Google, Discord), the basic profile details that provider shares (such as your handle and avatar).
  • Activity: the predictions, picks, clips, comments, reports, and other actions you take on the site, plus your Pulse Points balance and history.
  • Payments: if you subscribe to Community Pro, Stripe processes your payment. We store a Stripe customer reference, not your card number.
  • Technical data: basic logs needed to run and secure the site. For rate limiting we store a one-way hash of your IP address, not the address itself.

How we use it

  • to run your account, picks, points, and community features;
  • to process Community Pro subscriptions and billing;
  • to keep Lurkers safe - preventing abuse, spam, and cheating;
  • to moderate content and respond to reports and disputes;
  • to fix problems and improve the site.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not run advertising profiles on you.

Cookies

We use a small number of cookies that are necessary to keep you signed in and to keep the site secure. We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Services we rely on

We share data with a few providers only so they can perform their part of running Lurkers:

  • Supabase - accounts, authentication, and the database.
  • Vercel - hosting and delivery of the site.
  • Cloudflare - bot protection (the sign-up and submission checks).
  • Stripe - payment processing for Community Pro.
  • Twitch, YouTube, and Kick - embedded streams, chat, and clips load from these platforms, and their own privacy policies apply to those embeds.

Your choices

  • You can edit your username and profile at any time.
  • You can hide yourself from the public leaderboard in your profile settings.
  • Creators can request that their name or community be excluded through the creator opt-out page.
  • You can ask us to delete your account and associated personal data by contacting us. Some records may be kept where we are required to, or to prevent abuse.

Children

Lurkers is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has given us data, contact us and we will remove it.

Changes

We may update this policy as Lurkers grows. We will update the date above and, for material changes, give notice on the site.
